Owning technical risk as Staff Engineer for Clip’s LATAM payments platform — reliability, data integrity, and fund-loss prevention across the funding and financial systems. Partnering with Architecture, Business, and Growth on technical feasibility and ROI. Coordinating release safety across distributed teams in Mexico, China, and Argentina.

Developing Valua, an open-source, high-performance Rust framework designed for embedding and interfacing safely with lua 5.5 + with luaJIT scripting runtimes.

Currently learning

Preparing for the AWS Solutions Architect Professional and CPTS certifications to validate engineering experience with industry frameworks.

Studying the technical aspects of medium format film photography and manual development.

Currently creating

Valu, a photography studio focus project. Currently producing a series documenting CDMX street architecture on medium format film, focusing on the intersection of brutalist design and urban decay.

Composing minimalist ambient tracks using modular synthesis, field recordings, and acoustic percussion.

Published Valua v1.0.0 on crates.io, finalizing the core API stability for the Rust-to-Lua runtime wrapper.
